TCPI: Teacher of Color Preparatory Institute
SBAN: Leaders Developing Leaders – Teacher of Color Prep Institute (TCPI)
The SBAN Teacher of Color Prep Institute is designed to connect aspiring teachers of color associated with SBAN and our partner institutions and organizations with schools that desire to develop talented teachers of color as a means of being more inclusive and representative of its surrounding community, while providing a multi-cultural education.
An ultimate outcome of this program will not only increase the percentage of teachers of color in education, but will also serve to provide a school environment more conducive to all students, thus allowing schools to diversify their teaching and administrative staff to more accurately reflect the community they serve.
